About

Built in Harare,
for how Zimbabwe pays

Lango exists because taking payments here is harder than it should be, and understanding what they cost is harder still.

Zimbabwean merchants work with intermittent connectivity, customers on 3G, two currencies, and fee structures that only reveal themselves on payday. The tools built elsewhere assume none of this.

So we build for it directly: a checkout that survives bad networks and never lies about a payment's state; a ledger that treats your money with bank-grade discipline; settlement advices your bookkeeper can file without a phone call; and pricing quoted live by the same engine that charges — because a rate you can't verify isn't a rate, it's a slogan.

Lango starts with EcoCash, the rail most of the country actually uses, and grows from there. The gateway and the point of sale share one set of books, so the counter and the website finally agree.

We're a small team that answers our own support email. If something on this site doesn't hold up, tell us — legibility is the product, and that includes ours.
